Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The beer selection here is commendable, featuring everything from local brews to classic favorites, ensuring everyone finds something to sip on.

Customers rave about the Sunday roast, often deemed unbeatable by regulars, with crispy roast potatoes and generous portion sizes.

The dog-friendly policy is a hit, especially with treats available at the bar for furry patrons. Many visitors appreciate being able to bring their pets along while enjoying great food and atmosphere.

Weekly events, such as karaoke and quiz nights, consistently attract a lively crowd, making it a perfect place for socializing and fun.

Most Disliked

While the busy evenings bring energy, many guests note that it can become quite packed, particularly on Saturdays. This may lead to longer wait times for food and drinks during peak hours.

The slope of the car park can present challenges for those who might have mobility concerns, despite the accessibility features inside the pub.

Some diners wish for a more expansive menu, as the limited selection might not cater to everyone's tastes, although the quality of the dishes served likely compensates for this.

It's worth noting that service may lag during the busier dinner rushes, prompting some patrons to suggest visiting during off-peak times for a more relaxed experience.

I had a delicious fish n chips with a couple of pints, (of course!). The staff were lovely and friendly and happy for me to stay in my campervan overnight. Very dog friendly with a tin of treats on the bar. There’s also a small beer garden with a great view! What’s not to love? Thank you, Tavern at Telscombe. I shall definitely be back.

Really good experience at the Tavern Telscome Cliffs. The food was excellent value for money and was very nice. Staff were very helpful. They have live music in the evening and just a really good vibe. The garden to the rear has a beautiful view over the coastline. Brilliant pub! They also offer camervan stop overs and we did this. The car park is on a slope but was fine with leveling chocks! Will definitely return!

We sometimes come for a Sunday roast and the value for money, plus portion sizes cannot be beaten anywhere locally (including Brighton). We booked for 8 of us last Saturday for the festive 3 course meal and it was fabulous! Between us we all make a very good roast, so expectations are always high for us, but all parties loved all 3 courses. Food came out on time, delicious with no issues. Roast potatoes are notoriously hard to get right when cooking en mass, but they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Staff always warm and welcoming with great service too. Thank you all at The Tav. Donella.

Amazing local pub with a fun vibe, atmosphere, and a great location right on the cliffs. Always seems to have an interesting array of diverse people, groups, and ages with everyone up for a laugh and a chat. This used to be my local pub, but unfortunately, since moving town and missing the vibes of this pub, I genuinely return periodically whenever I can afford the taxi home after inevitably drinking to much "Neck Oil" 😂

The most friendly and great vibing pub I have ever visited. Exceptionally excellent customer service from Keomi and Lee in particular. Hospitable for motorhomes to stay overnight at no charge, though they appreciate obviously you buying something and you booking in advance to assure availability. I was fortunate enough with my visit timing to catch Josh who cleans vehicles during his school holidays to earn some pocket money. He did a very good diligent job.
